Stephan Hegge joined Catenion as an Analyst in 2011 and lives in Berlin.
Having studied biochemistry in Hanover Stephan earned a Ph.D. in biology at the University of Heidelberg for his studies in the field of cell biology and infectious diseases. During his Ph.D. studies on the parasite causing Malaria, Stephan developed several video–microscopic techniques in order to automatically analyze the parasite's crucial ability to move. Subsequently, he advised research groups in Japan, Scotland and France as well as a company in the US on how to apply his techniques.
In his free time Stephan enjoys volleyball, scuba diving and learning to understand different cultures.
